The second bear in Steiff’s music series is a tribute to the ultimate  performer Elton John!
Born Reginald Dwight in 1947, the Elton John Teddy bear pays homage to the legendary British musician, Elton John, and celebrates his iconic album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Steiff artisans have included parts of the beautiful 1973 album cover artwork as details on his footpads.
They also mirrored the popular musician’s jacket from the cover; the jacket is made of mohair as part of his body.
Just like on the cover illustration, his name “Elton John” is embroidered on the back of his jacket.
Wearing exclusive sunglasses from the Elton John Eyewear collection, including logo and branding, this Teddy is the perfect accolade to the celebrated performer.

As a special feature of the Steiff ROCKS! collection, the artisans at Steiff have designed a custom box for the Elton John Teddy bear incorporating distinctive graphics from the album.

On the heels of Elton John’s 75th birthday and his triumphant return to the stage in 2022, the iconic superstar has announced his “Elton John Farewell Yellow Brick Road The Final Tour.” This marks the end of an astonishing career of one of the most enduringly successful singer/songwriter of all time!

This special Elton John Teddy bear, as with all of the licensed editions by Steiff, must be designed and produced to meet the licensor’s specifications. Steiff must follow precise guidelines as far as color, size, accessories, materials, etc. in order to pass the strict and rigorous approval process in creating a piece that is faithful to the person or character who inspired the edition.
