King Charles III Proclamation Bear

Made in Coburg/Germany the hometown of Prince Albert,
the Great-Great-Great-Grandfather of King Charles III.

Celebrating the ascension to the throne of King Charles III is this special bear hand crafted by Hermann Coburg, he is wearing a white satin fabric shirt collar and a black taffeta tie, as worn by King Charles III. during the official Proclamation.
The tie is embroidered in gold colour with the silhouette of the British Royal Crown and the new King’s initials – C III R.

This 35 cm = 13 ¾ inches bear is 5 times fully jointed and made of quality antique brown mohair, stuffed with excelsior and he has a growler voice box

Each Bear is individually numbered within an open edition with the individual edition number embroidered on the left paw with the British National Flag and the now current wording of the English National Hymn “God save the King”.
At the end of the Proclamation Ceremony, the English National Hymn was sung in honour of the new King for the first time in over 70 years with “God save the King”.

The right paw is embroidered with the name of the new King and the date of the official Proclamation – 10th September 2022 – on which King Charles III. was proclaimed as the new King of Great Britain by the Accession Council.

According to the British Succession to the Throne, King Charles III acceded to the Throne automatically upon the death of Queen Elizabeth II. on 8th September 2022.
Two days later, on 10th September 2022, after King Charles III. had sworn the centuries-old oath as King, the official Proclamation of King Charles III as the British King was made by the
Accession Council.
With this solemn Proclamation, the era of the new monarch officially began, Long Live the King.
