Lucky bear for 2022 is made from an original vintage teddy wool plush from the HERMANN archive from the 1950s.
This antique wool plush is no longer available today and only a few meters of this unique material from contemporary history are still stored in our archive.
This makes our little lucky bear a unique and distinctive creature.
The decision to make our lucky bear for 2022 out of this old wool plush has, above all, a symbolic meaning.
The 1950s of post-war Germany were marked by courage and confidence.
Through the strength of the people, the first tender plantings of the reconstruction in those years already bore the first burgeoning blossoms that inspired hope for a new era.
Today, 70 years later, the world community is once again facing a major challenge, albeit for different reasons.
This year’s lucky bear should spread strength and confidence, and with its woolly fur from the 1950s,
give us courage and remind us of those hopeful times from back then.
