This wonderful standing bear is fully jointed.
His muzzle & paws are mohair, the rest of his luxurious fur is an original1940’s silken fur.

Embroidery soles of the feet: The sole of the right foot is embroidered with the name of the bear and the individual edition number.
The left sole of the foot is embroidered with the image of the “Sonneberger Reiterlein”

Dressed as jugglers and jokers in the style of the 18th and 19th centuries, as can be admired at the “Thuringian Fair”, the world-famous exhibit in the Sonneberg Toy Museum.
The bear comes with a miniature newspaper stand with explanatory information about former Sonneberg toys.

Stehbär – remake based on an original pattern of an old Sonneberger Max Hermann (Maheso) standing bear from 1947 with the then article number 75/8/30, with the number “75” in front of the first horizontal line for the model form “Stehbär” stood. The number between the two horizontal lines “8” stood for the plush quality used for this bear at the time and the last number indicated the size of the bear “30 cm”
Special feature of the eyes: with original old glass corner eyes from the HERMANN archives from the 1930s. Back then, brown oval glass eyes with white “corners” were known as “corner eyes”. The “corner eyes” still in the HERMANN archive are an exceptional rarity and were made at the time by the glassblower workshops in Lauscha/Thuringia.
